Schrott pflegt in seinen Tropen den hohen Ton. Das augenblickhafte Momentum der Erkenntnis, das die moderne Lyrik als vermeintlich einzige Rettung vor der Sprachskepsis so lange anstrebte, ist in Schrotts Gedichten zum Bild geronnen. Und die Lyrik Schrotts feiert diese neugewonnene, klassische Anschaulichkeit -im hymnischen Duktus. Entgegen allem Anschein läßt Schrott die Ketten der Literaturtheorie weit hinter sich. So kommt es, daß das erhabene Erlebnis der Naturphänomene wieder zum eigentlichen Gegenüber des lyrischen Ichs wird. Schrotts pathetische Sprache braucht das größtmögliche Gegenüber. Nur angesichts der auratischen Endlosigkeit des "bestirnten Himmels" bleiben ihre Tropen verhältnismäßig.
