I didn't finish this book.

I agree with the central message of the book, that you should take charge of your health and that modern medicine has its gray areas. What I didn't like was the approach taken - to argue against shoddy statistics with simple sweeping statistics. Statistics is open to interpretation, and the author definitely colored the numbers with her perspective. Without taking us through her thought process and the efforts taken to account for confounding factors, I don't know how sound she is in her analyzing and interpreting scientific studies. ( )
