I Like Myself! by Karen Beaumont (WeeTurtle)
WeeTurtle: These two books share a similar rhyme and meter, and the some of the illustrations in "I Like Myself!" are reminiscent of things in the Dr. Seuss universe.

A humorous story that teaches the importance of openness to new experiences.

I read this book for the "A Book With Food On The Cover" part of my 2018 reading challenge. Classic Dr. Seuss, one of my favorites. ( )

A true staple in the children's book community. Green Eggs and Hams follows a guy who doesn't believe that he likes Green Eggs and Ham and refuses to try it. Near the end of the book, he finally tastes it and actually likes it! This book is a great read from younger kids who are starting to become picky eaters and helps them realize that its good to try certain things!

Who doesn't like a Dr. Seuss book, I read this to both my girls when they were little along with other books by Dr. Seuss. They are cute and fun. ( )

Author Dr. Seuss writes a wonderful book about Sam who is trying new things. The poem is very delightful to read and moves quite fast. Sam I am is convinced that he will not like green eggs and ham. This book can also be used to share with students about appropriate behavior. It is fun to try new things and you do not always have to like the new things you try.
