Who doesn't like Dr. Seuss?

The illustrations are entertaining, the writing perfectly wonderful, and the storylines generally fairly hilarious. I'm uncertain how many people have been willing to try new things about reading Green Eggs and Ham but a few had to, right? And that's a wonderful thing. ( )

This is a funny and humorous book that delivers poetry throughout. Sam i am has a fear of trying things that he's never tried before. The book teaches kids not only poetry. It also teaches kids that just because something looks a certain way doesn't mean it tastes a certain way. Dr Seuss's illustrations are always vibrant and vivd and the illustrations in this book were the same. ( )

Fantastic book for kids! So imaginative and creative. Easy read that children will find delightful!

Dr. Seuss is always brilliant! His stories and rhymes are fun and entertaining! Some of my all time favorites!! Such a great way to entertain children and get them interested in reading! ( )

One of my most favorite childhood memories that I could share with my children. As a parent this was one of the first books that I read to my children before they even started preschool. I believe this book was a helping hand in my children's advanced reading level.

This is where a troublesome little who called Sam I am is persistently offering our main character a dish called green eggs and ham. In a variety of places, and with a variety of animals. Don't miss out on the classic that has inspired generations. Cheers and Silly Readings Kids! ( )

Summary:

This book starts out with a character that refuses to try green eggs and ham. He is begged by his friend Sam I am to eat them everywhere imaginable. Finally after all the begging he gives in and tries them. In the end he actually likes them.

My Reactions:

I have loved this book since I was a child. It is a wonderful rhyming book and children love the rhythm. It is a great book to help children explore the option of trying something new.

Classroom Extensions:

1. This is a great book to read during a food themed unit.
2. You could have the children paint a picture of a food they don't like but want to try. (a great way to incorporate art in the classroom)
