This book is dedicated to the Finnish terminology of art music. Starting with a historical and structural presentation of the relevant vocabulary, the focus is on a discourse-linguistic multilevel analysis of texts on key figures in Finnish music. Using writing about music in Finnish as an example, a methodological model for capturing art discourses is developed and applied.
