The “Outdoor Adventure Education Curriculum Model: Template for Youth Social and Emotional Learning” offers a practical guide for planning, implementing, and reflecting on outdoor adventure education (OAE) with a specific focus on fostering social and emotional learning (SEL) among youth. Developed as part of the Erasmus+ project OutAdvEd, the publication is the result of collaboration among experts from universities across Europe. Drawing on constructivist theory, experiential learning, and SEL frameworks, the document combines theoretical insights with concrete planning templates, facilitation guidelines, and example teaching units. It is designed to support educators in creating meaningful and transformative learning experiences in outdoor settings that promote holistic development.
