The book "Vestigos de una rebelión" (Remains of a Rebellion) is part of this larger program of recovering a political history from below, reconstructing the stories of anonymous men and women who surely never imagined their triumphs and sorrows would be chronicled in a book that would rescue them from oblivion. The main contribution of this research lies in its ability to decenter the history of the confrontation with the dictatorship in Santiago and the major events led by communist militants during the dictatorship. In this sense, this is a history from below, regionally, demonstrating that the most radical struggle against the regime had a national expression.
