Over the past two decades, Petula Sik Ying Ho and A. Ka Tat Tsang have shown deep concern for topics such as desire, intimate relationships, homosexuality, power, and identity, conducting a series of studies and publishing related articles. Most of these research reports and articles were published in English academic journals, yet many of the research subjects were people in Hong Kong, and the issues discussed are closely related to the general public. Therefore, the authors have compiled these articles into a book and published it in Chinese, hoping to create a broader, more inclusive, and open space for discussion. They also wish to integrate elite discourse into everyday life conversations, enriching the lived experience and allowing such thinking to circulate more freely in daily life. This book brings together the authors’ reflections on their academic journey, highlighting the transitions, adjustments, and introspections they experienced at different stages. The book is divided into four parts: the body, identity and power, diverse relationships, and desire.
