0 Ungluers have Faved this Work
Agaricales constitute a large and complex group of fungi within the Phylum Basidiomycota. Agaricales are characterized by macroscopic sexual structures called fruiting bodies or basidiocarps. They also possess microscopic structures with taxonomic value. These sexual phases can take on various shapes and sizes, such as "hats", which typically enclose a laminar hymenium. Agaricales inhabit woody substrates and are often found in association with plants, organic matter, and soil. Additionally, due to their numerous applications, they hold economic significance for society. Their taxonomy is determined by morphological, ecological, and molecular characteristics. This catalog describes 35 specimens of Agaricales macrofungi collected on the campus of the Universidad del Magdalena, with 14 identified to species level and 21 to genus. The information presented, along with excellent color photographs and detailed illustrations, is available to the academic community and fungi enthusiasts. These resources aid in the identification of their morphological characteristics, which are essential for species recognition. Additionally, this research has contributed to the Mycological Collection at the Scientific Collections Center of the Universidad del Magdalena.
