Investigating multi-physics problems using continuum models is increasingly important, e.g., the coupling of chemical and mechanical fields in the design of energy storage systems. To address real processes, validated models and efficient implementation schemes in commercial Finite-Element solvers are essential. In this work, we derive chemo-mechanically coupled continuum models. We adress hydrogen embrittlement, phase-separation in metal-hydrogen systems and water diffusion in polymers.
