Development of a Superconducting Inverter Based on Magnetic Field Triggered Dynamic Resistance

This work presents a novel use of high-temperature superconductors (HTS) as switches in a fully superconducting H-bridge inverter. Using dynamic resistance under alternating magnetic fields, the switches enable lossless on-state conduction and resistive off-state behavior. Experimental validation, modeling, and a new rDUDA magnetization method support stable dc-ac conversion. The concept is proven at TRL 3-4, with pathways for scaling and practical application.
