The digital transformation is changing research processes, also in technology assessment (TA) and is reflected, among other things, in the increasing relevance of digital methods. The study provides an overview of Computational Social Sciences and presents applications relevant to TA. It presents data types, sources and accesses, as well as the most common evaluation methods. To get started, suggestions are made for using software at different levels of complexity.
