This volume presents the results of a survey conducted by Legacoop Veneto on cooperatives operating in the province of Belluno, aiming to provide a comprehensive picture of a business system deeply rooted in the mountain context. The research analyzes the role of cooperatives in supporting social cohesion, local development, and territorial resilience, paying particular attention to the tensions currently affecting the cooperative world: structural fragility, difficulties in generational turnover, and the scarcity of services. At the same time, the text identifies paths for revitalization and innovation, particularly relevant to reflection on the model of community cooperatives, understood as an expression of cooperation focused on the territory, participation, and the generation of shared value. The volume aims to be a useful tool to inspire those working in the cooperative sector, local administrators, and local development professionals, to design effective policies, build territorial alliances, and promote a participatory and sustainable economy.
