Die u.a. von Adele Clarke entwickelte Situationsanalyse stellt methodologisch eine grundlegende und weitreichende Transformation des Forschungsstils der Grounded Theory Methodology dar, die im deutschsprachigen Diskurs vor allem im Kontext soziologischer Debatten und transdisziplinärer Forschung aufgegriffen wurde. Die Beiträger*innen diskutieren die Situationsanalyse als Forschungsstrategie in Hinblick auf unterschiedliche erziehungswissenschaftliche Gegenstandsbereiche und greifen aktuelle Weiterentwicklungen der Situationsanalyse auf.
