Ethical Dilemmas in Current Ethnology: Vol. II

0 Ungluers have Faved this Work
The publication Ethical Dilemmas in Current Ethnology, Vol. II builds on the first volume and further develops the discussion on ethical approaches in contemporary ethnology and social anthropology. The collection brings together reflections of doctoral students and experienced researchers, fostering intergenerational dialogue within the academic community. The individual chapters address the ethical aspects of researching the biographies of Russian astrologers, the use of visual participatory methods in identity research, the value and political orientations of Slovak non-believers in the online environment, and reflections on the development of ethical norms in Roma research in a global context. What unites them is an emphasis on the sensitive negotiation of ethical frameworks, the protection of research participants, the adaptability of research designs, and the search for contextually grounded solutions. The publication thus contributes to shaping ethical standards in social science research and to a broader discussion on the researcher’s responsibility in changing political, social, and technological conditions.
