The anthology Theoretical Applications in Art Studies demonstrates, presents and problematizes the application of historiography in art studies practice. The central ambition is to show how historiography can be applied and understood in different ways, in survey and critical studies as well as an aspect of historical and art studies analysis. This is demonstrated based on different questions and theoretical perspectives in seven chapters. They cover different types of material from different times.
