In political contexts characterized by rapid change and unstable situations, academic research can hardly—nor does it intend to—keep pace with events. Its function is rather to offer interpretive frameworks and critical reflections that allow us to understand complex political phenomena beyond the immediacy of the current situation. In this sense, the works collected in this volume remain fully relevant to the historical and political study of contemporary Latin American socialism, providing essential interpretive keys for understanding the processes, debates, and tensions that marked a fundamental stage in the recent history of Latin America.
