Welche Erwartungen haben Parteimitgliedern an Parteivorsitzende? Während sich die Parteienforschung traditionell auf institutionelle und strategische Aspekte innerparteilicher Führung konzentriert, rückt dieses Buch die Persönlichkeit in den Forkus. Auf Grundlage einer Befragung von über 22.000 Mitgliedern der Grünen, CDU und SPD zeigt der Autor, dass gute Führungspersönlichkeit von Mitgliedern kognitiv systematisch verknüpft wird und sich zu drei idealtypischen Profilen verdichtet. Die Ergebnisse machen deutlich: Mitgliederwirksame Führung ist nicht nicht allein durch formale Ordnungsmodelle bestimmt. Persönlichkeitsmerkmale tragen maßgeblich zur Wahrnehmung und Akzeptanz politischer Führung bei.
