The volume gathers the papers presented at the conference “Il Milione nel tempo tra Asia ed Europa. Marco Polo nelle letterature medievali e contemporanee”, held in Siena on 7–8 November 2024 and co-organized by Francesco Stella (UNISI), Anna di Toro (UNISTRASI), and Paola Mocella (UNISI), in collaboration with the Sala Confucio and the Centro CeSK of UNISTRASI. It also includes the contributions from the seminar “700 anni di Marco Polo. Le novità della ricerca internazionale”, organized by Francesco Stella on 11 December 2024 at the Accademia La Colombaria in Florence. Structured into three sections—medieval, sinological, and contemporary—the volume advances scholarship on Marco Polo and the Milione , delineating new paths of research and interpretation that emerge from dialogue among experts across diverse fields.
