In 1524, Hans Sachs published a dialogue in which his alter ego, the cobbler Hans, takes on a pompous priest - and wins. This edition publishes the dialogue in a new translation, alongside the contemporary Dutch and 1548 English translation 'Shoemaker and Parson'.
