Vazha-Pshavela is one of the largest housing estates in Tbilisi, Georgia’s capital city. The estate has various types of open spaces that offer a diverse range of features and uses. The contributors to this volume present the broader context of the district, explaining its historical development and current situation. The typological systematization provides a valuable foundation for comparing Vazha-Pshavela’s open spaces with one another and with those in other large housing estates. Additionally, examining selected typologies reveals these spaces’ rich potential for future transformation in the Vazha-Pshavela neighborhood and other large housing estates.
