From Gorée to Ouidah, from Salvador de Bahia to Cartagena de Indias, L’Atlantique Noir revisité explores the places, works, and memories that connect the two shores of the ocean. A space of crossing, pain, and resistance, the Black Atlantic becomes here a relational field where history, art, and lived experience meet. This collective volume offers a multidisciplinary rereading of the Atlantic world through philosophy, literature, anthropology, cultural geography, and the visual arts. The authors examine how the traces of slavery and the slave trade are reinscribed into contemporary bodies, landscapes, and imaginaries. Between visibility and erasure, institutional memory and lived memory, they bring to light the tangible forms of the past's presence in today's world.
