The climate crisis is not merely an environmental problem; it is closely connected to human rights, socioeconomic inequalities, intergenerational responsibilities, and the pursuit of justice. Due to their ongoing physical development, limited access to essential resources, and dependence on adult decisions, children are among the social groups most vulnerable to the impacts of the climate crisis.
Climate Justice for Children: Impacts of Climate Change and Solutions invites readers to reconsider the place of children in climate justice by addressing the climate crisis through the lens of children’s rights, needs, experiences, and futures. Drawing on diverse disciplines such as health, psychology, education, law, urban studies, engineering, politics, and children’s literature, this book examines the impacts of the climate crisis on children from a climate justice perspective.
