The book Advances in Aortic Surgery is an excellent update for health care professionals caring for patients with complex aortic disease. Experts in their respective topics wrote the seven chapters in this book. The topics included a variety of aortic diseases, including aortic dissection, aortic root aneurysm, thoracoabdominal aortic aneurysm, and aorto-iliac disease. The authors discussed the most recent evidence and controversies in these areas. In the contemporary era, given the high complexity, patients with aortic disease require assessment by a multidisciplinary aortic team. An excellent aortic team should include a cardiac surgeon, a vascular surgeon, a radiologist, and an anesthesiologist, all of whom are familiar with complex aortic disease. We believe the readers will find this book interesting.
