As meningioma is one of the most common intracranial tumors, understanding it is crucial to improve survival, reduce recurrence, and enhance patients' quality of life. Today, we have the resources that enhance neurosurgeons' skills to perform highly complex surgical procedures safely and confidently. Current neurosurgery tools and technologies are enabling a new dimension of precision care medicine. In this book, we present the state of the art in the neurosurgical treatment of meningiomas, including the most common complications and current alternatives for their solution. A review of the current molecular fingerprints of meningiomas is presented to inform the development of targeted therapies for this condition. Besides, its diagnosis is more common in adulthood. We present the experience and particularities of surgical treatment of meningioma in the pediatric population and review the current evidence and recommendations for meningioma treatment in the elderly. A discussion of a new classification based on meningioma angioarchitecture is offered to anticipate intraoperative complications.
