This book is a collaboration between world-class bench scientists and clinicians in the fields of surgery, oncology and pathology in which they came together to highlight the human lymphatic system in health and disease and to showcase the current understanding and recent developments in the field of lymphatic medicine, including the normal structure and function as well as the dysfunction that occurs in several lymphatic diseases, affects multiple systems, and manifests as different pathologies. Moreover, the book presents innovations in clinical imaging and pathological examination to better diagnose and classify these diseases, as well as emerging surgical and targeted treatments to modulate the lymphatic function.
