Cataract surgery has recently become the backbone of ophthalmic surgery. It aims for a clear visual axis, a perfect optical system, visual improvement, amblyopia management, and a spectacle-free life at all distances. There are certain tender spots in dealing with a pediatric cataract case, where developmental stages are not yet completed, and in using the best of current technology for refractive lens exchange. This book covers important aspects of preoperative evaluation, surgical tips and techniques, and postoperative care for both pediatric and refractive cataract surgeries.
