Urinary tract dysfunction is composed of various pathological disorders that can lead to severe complications and can strongly reduce patients’ quality of life, even when symptoms are still mild. Early diagnosis and treatment prevent severe damage to the upper and lower urinary tracts and allow symptom improvement with conservative, noninvasive therapeutic approaches. Rigorous application of international guidelines in diagnostic and therapeutic algorithms is essential to avoid misdiagnosis, particularly in complex cases that can lead to erroneous interpretation. Despite its prevalence in the general population, including pediatric individuals, urologic dysfunction is still an underestimated health issue, and for this reason, it still deserves attention by the scientific community.
