The series Cross-Cultural Philology brings together key studies and results from the Cluster of Excellence ‘Cross-Cultural Philology: New Perspectives on Premodern Textualities’ (EXC 3061). Hosted at the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität in Munich, this interdisciplinary research centre takes a comparative approach to philological practices and the cultural processes related to them from around the globe and across a span of 5000 years. In doing so, its aim is to create a new history of knowledge and scholarship.
