[How do you feel about church? The Relevance of Religion and Church in a Pluralistic Society. Analyses of the 6th Church Membership Survey.] This evaluation volume follows an overview volume on the first key results of the 6th Church Membership Survey published in 2023. It presents an in-depth empirical analysis of the results. In 36 contributions, researchers shed light on the current situation of churches and religion in Germany on the basis of representative samples. The broad range of topics includes attitudes towards the church and expectations for reform, denominational differences, changes in religiosity, church loyalty and people leaving the church, use of church services, religious socialization, attitudes towards church tax, and the relevance of religion and the church for social issues such as climate change and the democratic crisis. Trends are emerging that are significant for the future of the churches.
