Soziale Berufe stehen im Zentrum gesellschaftlicher Reproduktion und bleiben dennoch politisch und institutionell randständig. Die Autorinnen zeigen, dass diese Marginalisierung nicht Unsichtbarkeit bedeutet, sondern strukturelle Abwesenheit von Entscheidungsmacht. Sie vertreten den Standpunkt, dass soziale Berufe als ordnungspolitisches Kernproblem neu zu verhandeln sind, und entwickeln eine Re-Positionierung als bewusste Neu-Positionierung in zentralen Entscheidungszusammenhängen.
