ENDES 2023: Análisis técnico de la Encuesta Demográfica y de Salud Familiar
0 Ungluers have Faved this Work
The book titled "ENDES 2023: Technical Analysis of the Demographic and Family Health Survey" appears at a particularly complex time for the country. Although 2023 represents a period of stabilization following the pandemic, it also brings new socioeconomic challenges that have differentially affected maternal and child health, the prevalence of chronic diseases, and access to family planning services. The 2023 edition of ENDES is not merely another publication; it presents a scenario in which key indicators—such as chronic childhood malnutrition and anemia—show stagnation or regression, necessitating a deep technical analysis. This analysis goes beyond describing frequencies; it seeks to reveal the underlying relationships among geographic, educational, and economic variables that contribute to inequalities across the country. The central objective of this work is to provide a rigorous interpretation of the ENDES 2023 microdata. Through this technical analysis, we aim to: examine data quality and sample representativeness across various levels of disaggregation; identify areas where family and reproductive health indicators have shown atypical or concerning variations relative to Bicentennial targets and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs); and translate statistical findings into actionable recommendations for decision-makers in the health and social development sectors.
