This book contains a translation, with a brief introduction, of five Hippocratic treatises on gynaecological topics. Botanical and medical notes update the translation.The treaties are about fetuses and women’s infertility. Therefore they speak about problematic births and dead fetuses; procedures to detect a pregnancy, promote fertilization and clean the uterus when there is an abortion.The team gathered to carry out this book aimed to present the Hippocratic treatises with the eyes of Yesterday and Today, in order to evaluate unrealistic ideas coming from oral knowledge along with scientifically valid procedures
