This book is one of the products of the cooperation between Lúrio and Coimbra universities, in this case resulting from the homonymous event that took place at Island of Mozambique between 19 and 29 July 2017, whose designation is very clear in its designs. It is structured in two parts: one that basically results in the composition of the results of the seven themes developed by the various workshops, with an initial text of integration by the main scientific responsible of the project; another with 5 texts from 6 authors, corresponding to the harmonized development of the public lectures made during the event, in some cases integrating data that resulted from the interaction with the teams of the workshops and with the population of the Island. To open a brief text of the coordinators of the book and another one of the Rector of UniLúrio and the Director of the respective Faculty of Architecture and Physical Planning. Muhipiti workshops: strategic planning, heritage, development results from a joint work between Portuguese and Mozambican researchers and professors from the architecture and urban areas of two universities, thus promoting the directives of a civil responsibility investigation for the transfer of knowledge to the community. It is more than the complete result of proposals for action on the important territory and cultural landscape in question, since it ends up convey methodological proposals with different origins, orientations and purposes.
