La idea comunitaria de Diamela Eltit es una postura política que conjuga arte y vida que propone un diálogo directo con el concepto de comunismo literario de Jean-Luc Nancy. Se trata de una práctica de articulación de diversas voces plurales desde un espacio común que limita con la apertura hacia el otro, conformando un acto de comunicación que conlleva “la interrupción comunista del dominio de clase, de las estratificaciones sociales y del poder, se propone la escritura en su carácter ampliado”, es decir, diferentes tipos de inscripciones gráficas, somatográficos y performativos en general.
