This volume Templa serena. Studi in onore di Enrico Flores is a collection of 37 articles, written by a group of scholars, who have been Flores’ collegues, friends or pupils. It deals with different subjects coming from greek literature (Aeschylus, Eupolis, Euripides, Epicurus), latin prose (Cicero, Florus, Seneca, Tacitus, Apuleius, Gellius) and poetry (Vergilius, Horatius, Ovidius, Juvenal) and from modern and contemporary italian literature (Dante, Giovanni Pontano, Giordano Bruno, Italo Svevo, Enea Silvio Piccolomini), through linguistic, exegetical, philosophical and historical inquiries. For the main part the volume implies some of the stronger interests belonged to Enrico Flores: Epicureanism, Ennius, Lucretius, De Saussure, Africa, the war. Ten years after his retirement, the miscellaneous volume comes to the light in order to be one more symbol of friendship and truthful respect.
