Handbuch Informationsfreiheitsrecht

The handbook by OpenRewi and FragDenStaat provides an easy-to-understand, practical overview of the IFG, the UIG and the VIG as well as the relevant laws of the German federal states. In view of the diversity of laws, the book deliberately does not take the form of a commentary, but instead focuses on central concepts of freedom of information law. The authors come partly from the legal sciences and partly from legal practice. The handbook is aimed at legal experts, but journalists and private individuals will also find initial assistance with their applications for access to information. The handbook works with various practical tips and example cases, with a focus on the evaluation of current case law. These and many other sources can be found in an interactive literature database that complements the handbook. The wealth of experience that FragDenStaat has accumulated over the past twelve years has been incorporated into the texts in a variety of ways.

This book is included in DOAB.
