Entendemos por profesión, la posesión de conocimientos científicos, humanísticos o artísticos especializados, adquiridos por medio de un estudio formal acreditado de alguna manera y cuyo ejercicio se hace a cambio de alguna remuneración. Este estudio se inicia con los antecedentes coloniales. No siempre han existido las mismas profesiones, ni se han concebido en la misma forma.
