Das Berufsfeldpraktikum als Professionalisierungselement
0 Ungluers have Faved this Work
Extracurricular internships are a constant component of teacher training in Germany, despite their geographically and historically diverse organisation. A discussion of their contribution to the professionalisation of prospective teachers is still lacking, as is an attempt to present the variety of possible designs. This volume addresses both gaps by first discussing from a theoretical perspective the significance of extracurricular internships in the context of continuous professional development in teacher training programmes. Based on the professional internship in North Rhine-Westphalia, exemplary insights are then given into various university internship concepts and diverse projects and collaborations, and initial empirical findings on the contribution of extracurricular practical experience are presented. The volume combines different academic and practice-oriented perspectives and approaches from educational science, educational and social sciences, general didactics, several subject didactics and professionalisation research.
