In the new globalized context, the labor field encompasses multiple areas in which workers who contribute to production and generate income to the economy of a country are involved. In this context, it is essential to protect the integrity of workers who are exposed every day to various situations that can generate from mild to serious problems in their physical integrity and health in general. The identification of hazards and risk assessment, allows the development of preventive measures to safeguard the integrity of workers within each company depending on their area of competence. Since they can suffer accidents, physical injuries, occupational diseases that deteriorate the quality of life of people. According to the International Labor Organization (ILO), worldwide at least 108,000 workers die in the workplace every year. Data from industrialized countries show that construction workers are 3 to 4 times more likely to die from accidents at work than other workers. With this background, precautionary work measures have been created around the world to reduce accidents, implementing international standards. Designing and implementing an occupational health and safety management system based on international standards allows transforming work environments into friendlier and more productive environments in companies. It is considered essential to protect the personnel, through the implementation of Occupational Health and Safety processes, framed in the legal requirements applicable to each country, training, acquisition of appropriate tools and equipment, in addition to having access to health care services, will optimize the efficiency of their work in all work areas.
