The conference proceedings for the second edition of the Gender & Crime conference encompass texts addressing gender aspects in criminology and criminal law, discussing forms, manifestations, and consequences of violence against women. With the overarching theme of "Sexual Self-Determination and Gender-Specific Violence," the publication delves into topics such as Incels, femicides, women as perpetrators, violence in institutions, and the experiences of violence among transgender individuals. From both national and international perspectives, the work generally examines traditional norms of masculinity and stereotypical gender constructions. The conference took place in November 2022 and was organized by the Criminological Research Institute Lower Saxony and the German Association of Women Lawyers.
