This book could have been titled "Consequences of the Presence-Absence of Love in the Context of the Doctor-Patient Relationship during the Diagnosis, Treatment, and Experience of Multiple Sclerosis: A Bioethical Study." However, it is titled "The Care of the Soul in Multiple Sclerosis: A Bioethical Reflection." This says a lot about its findings: caring for the soul in patients with multiple sclerosis is equally important as caring for the body. It is clear who is primarily responsible for the latter, the body, but who is called to care for the former, the soul, of the multiple sclerosis patient? This book proposes initial reflections derived from the findings of a qualitative research study, within the framework of a concept that emerged during the study: love-to love.
