Whistleblowing, known as "whistleblowing", is essential in the fight against corruption, as whistleblowers identify and report illicit conduct, thus contributing to state integrity and the public good. In several States corruption reached its highest level leading to significant economic losses, in this work we highlight that whistleblowing becomes a vital tool, uncovering a large percentage of frauds. Therefore, it is crucial to implement effective whistleblowing channels and protect whistleblowers to fight corruption and promote an ethical and transparent public administration. This system not only seeks to prevent crimes, but also to correct bad governance in public administration. The State should seek practical strategies to protect those who report improper practices, because their courage contributes to the welfare of the public interest. Whistleblowers become a fundamental piece in the fight against corruption and in the promotion of an ethical and transparent administration.
