Acercamientos a las poéticas de Oliverio Girondo: Estudio específico sobre un poeta de la vanguardia argentina (Approaches to the poetry by Oliverio Girondo. A detailed study of a poet of the Argentine vanguard) examines the writer’s poetic oeuvre from two perspectives. The first one refers to and shows Oliverio Girondo's poetry within the Argentine vanguard, which he pioneered in his country and continent; while the perspective of phenomenology attempts to explain the poet's imaginarium, based on Gaston Bachelard's model of analysis of literary poetics. The first part of the book contains analysis of the poetry of the Argentine vanguard, aiming to illustrate its characteristic elements from a formal and linguistic point of view. The second part, on the other hand, is an in-depth analysis of Girondo's poetic texts, but this time using Bachelard's approach in order to explore the poet's creative imagination and determine the shape of his poetic universe and its constituting elements. Other aspects covered in the book, in addition to those already mentioned, concern language, the polysemous character given to it by the poet, as well as the profound value that Girondo attributed to the image; all things that testify to the fact that he truly renewed poetry. Although these readings or glimpses of Girondo's poetic oeuvre may initially seem distant, they complement one another, creating a coherent and diverse vision of the Argentine author's work, while also opening up a space for the reader, which shows the variety of aspects from which his poetry can be read.
