The toponymy of Turek district. Material analysis is a monograph containing unique material consisting of 1725 toponyms – oikonyms (names of objects inhabited by man) and anoikonyms (names of objects not inhabited by man) naming 2462 objects – originating from the district of Turek. The analysis refers to all current toponyms functioning in the studied area, as well as old names recorded in sources and on maps, as well as passive, not used at present, but stored in the memory of residents. The collected names were subjected to semantic (division into topographic, cultural, possessive, patronymic, servitude etc.) and formal classification (division into single-component and compound names), the dialectal features noted in the names were also discussed.
