The present work provides an overview of the ordinance fine procedure and deals in depth with Article 7 of the OBG. This provision governs the basic liability of the vehicle owner in cases of minor violations of Swiss road traffic law when the prosecuting authority is unable to identify the perpetrator with reasonable effort. In light of the criticism presented in legal scholarship and the practical difficulties encountered in applying this norm, various suggestions for amendments and additions are highlighted. The practical relevance of the work serves not only dogmatic but also practical interests. The summaries and interim results allow for precise and quick access to the findings of the work.
