1 Ungluer has Faved this Work
Children will delight in the further adventures of Dorothy, Glendda the munchkins and her friends as they revisit Oz. Frank Baum was a famous author of children's books. He is best noted for his book The Wizard of Oz. Baum used several pen names when writing different series. He used the pen name Edith van Dyke when writing books for adolescent girls. In The Emerald City of Oz, Oz was isolated form the rest of the world by magic. Baum did this to end the Oz series, but he restarted the series with this book due to financial needs. A young munchkin boy lives with his uncle in the wilderness. They have almost starved. He travels to see a magician and while there sees a powder that will restore things to life. His aunt and the magician's wife have drunk the Liquid of Petrificaiton and are now marble statues. The remainder of the story is Ojo's search through Oz to retrieve the five components of an antidote to the Liquid.
