I'd also love to unglue A garbage can model of organizational choice / Michael D Cohen; James C March; Johan P Olsen. [Bridgeport, Conn.] : [M. Wiener], ©1972. This book is based on the seminal article of same title in Administrative Services Quarterly, which broke new ground in organizational and decision theory and included a Fortran program... The garbage can model always seemed much more reality-based than many management/decision theories... particularly for institutions like higher education where power/decision making tends to be distributed and many factors impact what decisions get made (or not made...). That book (if not the program) is highly readable by a layperson and some of the case studies are entertaining. This set of essays follows from this line of thinking and should be an interesting read.
