Was ist Architektur? Dieses scheinbar einfache Problem ist philosophisch äußerst umstritten. Stephen Griek fragt ausgehend von Nietzsches unerhörter Abschaffung der Wahrheit, ob sie einen Abgesang auf die Architektur bedeutet – oder ob sie im Gegenteil nicht die eigentliche Voraussetzung für ein untrügliches Verständnis von Baukunst ist. In einem Durchgang durch die abendländische Philosophie verfolgt er diesen Gedanken anhand Nietzsches Konzepts des »Willens zur Macht« bis ins »Jenseits von Gut und Böse« der westlichen Kultur, um die ungeheure Aufgabe von Architektur, Kunst und Wissenschaft neu zu formulieren.
