This study explores the unique world map produced around 1448 in Constance by the Benedictine monk Andreas Walsperger. With reference to texts and maps of the time, the analysis focuses on their content, processes of production and construction mechanisms as well as their networks in the north and south of the Alps. Based on the history of knowledge and culture, this approach encompasses the complex forms of cartographic processing of information.
